write to?

Post by Lewoz »

Hello,
I am wondering about the use of the preposition TO with the verb to write.
Is it: Thank you for writing me or writing TO me?
I know that the preposition is to be used when the object is placed before the verb (She write a long letter to her dad), but in the example above, I am not sure.
Thank you.

Correctly, it is:
Thank you for writing to me.

“Thank you for writing me” is not English.
