Can one say:
1) He wished me to be successful.
instead of:
2) He wished me success.

Can one say:
3) He wished me to be successful.
instead of:
4) He wished that I'd be successful.

1. Not necessarily (#1 does not imply that the wish was actually expressed to the addressee).
