a. This is the book he wants in order to give to his girlfriend.
b. This is the book he wants so that he can give it to his girlfriend.


Are the above sentences grammatically correct?

Could one use
c. This is the book he wants to give to his girlfriend.
instead of those?

Normally (d) would mean something else...
