I'm writing my dissertation on teaching English at Primary schools. I would love to write about games, how important they are for kids etc. I need project, otherwise all the reading is in vain...really. Do I pick up a texbook they use in schools in my country or do I organise my own.
I've read lots of magazines (Teaching English Professional (Unfortunately not all of them, there isnot much available in free access), and various websites) I haven't a fixed title for this work yet, I feel like writing about play, coz it makes kids work on thier own and learn from each other and you can see their caracter by watching them, they like drama, acting. But it can't be all about playing games, kids also are taught to work and be serious...
Could you be so nice to recommend a book, a relevant subject.
I've been teaching for a number of years, I like Jeremy Harmer's book "Just Right" best of all. But that's not for primary schools.
Well, look forward to your advice!
The work is due in March...so I'm panicking...

I would add that if you take a certificate, MA or MA module in teaching Business English/ ESP, the techniques that you learn will be very suitable for more specialised classes like Legal English. The two most well known certificates for Business/ ESP are the Trinity IBET and LCCI FTEB, and some International House schools also offer their own certs.
