Unread post by cb51 »

Hi All,
I'm looking for an online ESL teaching or tutoring job. I reside in Boston.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I live in Tehran and I am an English teacher. I have students who would like to have a native speaker as their tutor. Please tell me how much you are thinking of charging and what plans you have for online teaching.

I have written this on other forums and my blog:

I've come across a lot of live online language portals! I have tried out a few of them and have had success and many of my colleagues have also and some have not... Anyone have experience with these portals? Which ones would you suggest?

Hi guys!

If you are looking to teach online there's a new site called http://beta.ilumii.com that allows you to be an online teacher. I've tried it with some success although the site has just started and its very new, I like it more because it offers many features that the other sites like WizIQ and edufire don't offer.

The best part about this site is that you can teach up to 3 students at a time, so, all of a sudden your income can go from 20/30 dollars a lesson to 60 to 90 depending on what you charge and how many students you can get.

This site has awesome tools, you can schedule tutorials, lesson packages, invite students, and so on. The best part is that if a student accepts an invitation to study and they don't show up, you still get paid.

Anyways, if you want to check it out you can sign up for the Free Trial version at http://beta.ilumii.com

There are many pages on this site that you can read.

You can read those and then ask questions in the forum.

If you are interested to work as a teacher on the Internet, or conduct lessons one-on-one, you can approach it. My friend has found a very good job and approach http://find-tutoring-jobs.com/. She loves to teach, she is good at it and earns a good income.
