How to make learning fun?

How to make learning fun?
I attended a conference two days ago. One of our keynote speakers said, the biggest problem or challenge of a teacher is to make learning fun. I am still an undergraduate education student. Anyone of you has strategies or advises on how to make learning more fun and creative? Especially on teaching English as Second language. Thank you!

Almost all learners (people in general) love quizzes. These ones on EnglishClub can be printed out for classroom use or done online: https://www.englishclub.com/esl-quizzes/

Chances are many of your students play video games outside of class, probably in their own language. On YouTube there are thousands of video clips of gameplay in English and you might suggest that they check them out. Our Real English for Gamers website and YouTube channel will help them get started. Some of our activities can be used in the classroom, however. For example, we have started a series of activities called Understanding Real English -- the English used by native speakers with each other. Again, we use clips from games, but they are very short 10-20 seconds long. To help the students we use frequent repetition, both with and without text. Here is the latest example (38 seconds in length) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5A6Q-STT_o
