'Winter weeks' or 'Winter's weeks'?

Post by Forever Light »

Hi everyone,

I hope you could help me. So in an English poem do I write:

'lots of nuts to store for Winter weeks' or 'lots of nuts to store for Winter's weeks' ?

Which one is grammatically correct or sounds better?

Thank you!

For me personally, depends on the subject of the poem.

Both are possible and “correct”. This is a poetic decision you have to make. In the second case it’s as though you are personifying “Winter”, partly because you have capitalised it and partly because you have given it possession of its weeks.
