Help make out-of-class video gaming time a learning experience

I've been in this field since 1968. I'm retired from the classroom now, but if I were still teaching, I would definitely take an interest in my video gamers, encouraging them to spend at least some of their time using English and setting up a system (a class FB page perhaps) where they can share what they learn. The link above points to a pretty comprehensive overview of what teachers and students can do outside of class. It is based on three years of experience posting gaming-based content for English learners.

I think every kid in school would love to have a teacher like you, because there aren't many people your age who love video games.
