Hi Everyone!
I would love others' input on this: I've been asked to teach a couple classes (about six hours total) to the teacher trainees at the center where I work, with the goal of "developing their linguistic competence." For better or worse, I pretty much have free reign as far as the activities and topics covered, and I find myself slightly overwhelmed at the plethora of options to choose from.
Here are the results of my first quick brainstorm (geared toward advanced students):
- listening to/discussing news stories or lectures (NPR, TED, etc.)
- practicing inference from pictures/stories
- collocations exercise
- some kind of activity to practice inference
I would really appreciate any suggestions that you have to offer! Thanks in advance!
