Host Cities of the Olympic Games
In 1896 the first of the modern Olympic Games was held in Athens, capital city of Greece and home of the ancient Olympics. This was followed in 1900 by Paris, France. Since then, the Games have been held on every continent except Antarctica. In 2022, Beijing, China will become the first city ever to host both Summer and Winter Olympics.
