Meaning

to force someone to change their beliefs or political views

For example

  • After we arrest the protesters, we'll send them to a special prison to be re-educated.

  • Our great leader has explained that people who've been brainwashed need re-educating.

Note:
Also "re-education", a euphemism for political indoctrination that's used in collocations like "re-education program" and "re-education camp".
