Posted by: Tara BenwellWriting Prompt: The tiny words “a”, “an”, and “the” are called articles. “A” and “an” are indefinite articles used with things in general, while “the” is a definite article used with specific things. Review how these words are placed before singular, countable nouns, and read the English story about a man and woman on Oxford Street. Then rewrite the story with different characters and a different scenario. Be sure to use a number of examples of definite and indefinite articles in your short story.

Esteban Rayo says:
A man and a woman were walking home from office. They were passing through a big park. The man saw a duck in a lagoon. He asked the woman if she thought he could make the duck squawk. He said: “Do you think the duck will squawk if I make a funny face?”. The woman responded: “You do not have to make a funny face. The face you have is already funny enough.” The man shouted “it is not!”. The duck squawk.
