The report is from Nepal. The ban applies in January. The Nepalese government is also considering raising the permit cost of climbing Mount Everest. Plastic straws are also single-use plastics that should be banned. I believe that within the next four years, at least 80% of countries’ capital cities will have implemented the same idea.

I will suggest all the countries need to be adopt this policy and reduce the global environmental effects.

Dear Teacher Tara,
Your lessons about news around the world are very useful to English learners like me.
I always listen to your lessons and sometimes use in my teaching as I am also teaching English to young learners.
Your lessons are very useful in teaching English because the news are updated and give the information short to the point.
Adding to this, your style of reading the news is very easy to understand that helps learners really well to get their confidence in studying English as a second language.
I admire your benevolent effort for English learners around the world.Keep up your GREAT WORK!
Wishing you all the best in your life.

Hi Tara,
First, thank you for this week’s audio news report.
Seocond, it’s so easy for me and could understand it very well without seeing the text and also could fill in the blanks all words except the word “visitors”. I heard it “residers”.
Second, I myself always am so sensitive to the plastics because one doctor said on TV that when the plastics came to our life, many diseases were created.
It’s a wonderful idea that Nepal ban single-use plastic around Everest, but why only around Everest and not everywhere that attracts tourists?
I wish all countries created the rules that banned the plastics in people’s everyday life.
Thank you so much Teacher Tara and best wishes,
