They used to write something on the tables that could help them with the exam. The teachers also told us to keep our tables clean without any writing, but that naughtiness still kept happening.

Thank you for publishing such a wonderful report . In Iraq ,this phenomenon is quite important and especially found in the ministerial exams . Monitors hardly try to prevent this dangerous problem called cheating . One of the instructions is checking their pockets , socks and shoes as well as we install cameras . Recently , this problem is likely to be finished by using modern techniques to prevent cheating . In my opinion , students can enter the top universities by working hard , in order to do their job when they are graduated ,not by cheating.

Hi, thank you for this audio news report. In my country, there are many tricks which used to cheat on tests. When I was in high school, usually my former classmates copy the most important things in their lesson on a little paper. After that, they hide the little paper in their clothes and look at during the examinations. In order to prevent that, my past teachers hired some policeman in each classroom…therefore, nobody dare to cheat

Hello and thank you for taking the time to publish those articles with perfectly audible audio ercording. Those who criticize had better go jogging and breath deeply! What can they complain about when it’s free and there is no obligation for anybody to visit this page….
In France cheating is also present in classes and exams, but the students may be punished by the teacher with the lowest possible mark (00/20) and they prefer not to try it. I mean not as massively as in India. Some people spend as much time organizing their cheating as they would have spent learning their lesson! It’s easier to cheat with calculators than in languages, I think. But the problem is that we have a culture of getting a good mark per se, not to get a good culture and keep it in our heads, what a pity. I am convinced that there would be much less cheating if learners were assessed for what they understand instead of for the mark. A mark would simply indicate a level of understanding or non understanding and would allow the student to work more on the weakest points. They would not be penalized. The penalisation would concern only students who don’t want to learn, not those who have difficulties to learn. -

Hi Tara,
First, thank you for this week’s audio news report.
Second, I could understand the subject without seeing the text and also answered all questions of Comprehension.
In addition, I could fill in the blanks the words cardboard, cheating and university.Third, I don’t think that the above ways can resolve cheating among the students.
In my opinion, maybe, there are two ways for resolving the subject:
1. To make culture among the students that they understand what is the aim of their education?
2. To present the questions in the way of deduction.
One of my friends who has gotten his PHD from France described me when he and other students were tested by university they had been permitted that bring any book, notebook and so on that they liked, but no one could find the answers into the books because the questions had been designed in the way of deduction.
He told me it was so interesting that one student had brought a big baggage full of books that didn’t help her for finding answers at all.
Teacher Tara,
Thank you for the interesting news.Best wishes and have a nice week,
