95-Year-Old Former Nazi Camp Guard Deported from US

A former Nazi concentration camp guard who has been living in New York City since has been deported to Germany. The 95-year-old, who was citizenship in 1957, lied to US officials decades ago, saying he was a farmer from Poland. The truth came out years ago that Jakiw Palij had worked at a Nazi concentration camp where 6,000 Jews were shot dead on November 3, 1943. Palij’s US was revoked in 2003, but until now Germany has refused to take him in saying he wasn’t a German citizen. The Trump administration made it a priority to deport him to Germany. German say Palij was placed in a retirement home and will likely not be tried for any crimes.
