Java Teens Banned From Dating After Sunset
As of October 1, teens under 17 in West Java will have a dating curfew of 9pm. Couples who are caught breaking the curfew three times could be forced to get married. In order to enforce the curfew, the chief who created the rule says he plans to install new cameras and initiate a village patrol. His goal is to bring morality back to the community and to reduce the number of unplanned teen pregnancies. One problem with the new regulation is that children under 16 are not allowed to marry in Indonesia.
The new curfew applies to teens under 17.

The punishment will be difficult to enforce since marriage is illegal for children under 16 in Indonesia.
