Vocabulary in context
Below, you see the words used in example sentences- blackboard: The teacher was writing on the blackboard.
- bookshelf: After I’d finished with the book, I put it back on the bookshelf.
- calendar: There was a calendar hanging on the wall.
- chalk: The teacher picked up a piece of chalk and started to write.
- clock: I looked at the clock to see what the time was.
- crayons: We used our crayons to colour in our drawings.
- desk: All the students were sitting at their desks.
- dictionary: I used the dictionary to look up a word.
- duster: I wiped the blackboard with a duster.
- eraser: I have an eraser in my pencil case.
- globe: He showed me where Japan was on the globe.
- map: There’s a map of the world on the classroom wall.
- notebook: Sam opened his notebook and started to write.
- notice board: There were several pieces of paper attached to the notice board.
- paper: I borrowed a piece of paper so I could draw.
- pencil: I drew my picture with a pencil.
- pencil case: I have lots of pens and pencils in my pencil case.
- ruler: Nick used his ruler to measure the line.
- school bag: I carry my books to school in my school bag.
- teacher’s desk: There was a pile of papers on the teacher’s desk.
