personality (noun): the combination of qualities or characteristics that form a person's character
Personality adjectives are adjectives that we use to describe a person and their character or personality. Everybody is an individual so we all have different personalities. One of us may be kind and like to help other people. Another person may be lazy and prefer to sleep rather than work.
Personality adjectives answer the question: "What is he like?"
Look at these example sentences using the personality adjective "polite":
- John is polite. John seems polite.
- John has a polite character.
- He is a polite person. I like polite men.
- I wish you were as polite as John. If you were more polite I might marry you.

Adjectives like tall, short, fat or thin are not personality adjectives because they describe a person's physical appearance, not their personality. They answer the question "What does he look like?"
